HUGE Update!!!

My Amazing Baby Shower


My Mom threw me this AMAZING baby shower. She truly is an amazing lady. I wish we would have got better pictures of the decor. The theme was Rubber Duckies and she made these white chocolate ducky suckers, made the world’s best sugar cookie that is just the beginning of everything. My mom has done so much for me over the past few months I appreciate everything she has done for me she is the best mom a girl could ask for! Here are a few pictures from the shower.

And of coarse the boy got spoiled.

The Night before the big day!!!

Well here is the glorious story of Baby Graysen's birth he was 5 pounds 4 ounces and 18 inches long Hims is such a big boy ha ha ha.

It all started on Friday April 2, 2010. I had been having really bad cramping all week long and finally decided I could not take it anymore on Friday so Kam took me into Labor and delivery that night when he got home from work (6:00 pm ish). When we got there they hooked me up to all the monitors and checked me. I was at a 1cm which was progress from my doctor’s appointment that was on the Tuesday before. My sweet nurse that was taking care of me I think her name was Michelle sent me out walking to try and get me to progress faster so Kam and I went walking and walking and walking around the hospital. We got back to the room and Michelle checked to see if anything was happening and NOTHING was happening so she decided to make me comfortable with a Morphine shot and some phenagrin to help stop the cramping, she said if it was labor the meds would not stop the contractions but if it was Braxton hicks it should help stop it! And she sent us walking again, we came back after about 20 min. and still nothing! So we got sent home with a Lortab to help me relax... Yes a morphine shot and a Lortab... I was on cloud 9 and was feeling great! So I made Kam stop and get me a hamburger, fries and a Dr.Pepper at Wendy's on our way home. We got back home at 10:30 ish and ate our Wendy's and we went upstairs to watch the latest episode of Fringe (We love that show). As we were getting settled in I of course with all my pain meds was feeling a bit tired so I went to turn over and...... MY WATER BROKE!! In my bed, can you believe that? Gross! So I said to Kam "Kam I think my water just broke." His response "Whatever you just peed your pants." I went to the bathroom and proved to him that I DID NOT just pee my pants and we called the nurses to confirm that it was actually happening (as if they can diagnose over the phone). The nurse said you better come in again it sounds like you are in labor. So we got back in the car with the expectation that we would soon be home in a few hours. When we got to labor and delivery we got checked in and they did this awesome test that turns the paper a different color if your water broke and guess what IT CHANGED.. It was Go time! The checked to see how dilated I was and I was only a 2. They hooked me up to my I.V's and all that good stuff and let me sit and sit and sit and sit! And my contractions were getting worse and worse and worse as the pain meds wore off.

After the contraction my mom gave baby a Monster. I have been looking everywhere for a cute monster and she found it!

April 3, 2010 THE BIG DAY!!!

My man rocked and took such good care of me he rubbed my feet and fed me ice chips. He is honestly the best husband and daddy anyone could ever want. I love him so much.

So this day was a fun day all the horror stories of my friends and family members of their birth experiences were all coming back and I was terrified. But it actually was not to bad at all. Granted I did have a epidural and was very very numb. We had some funny moments and everyone at the hospital the nurses and doctors we AMAZING it was a very very good/interesting experience!

My men gave me a beautiful diamond key necklace as my "push present/ Easter Present) Kam is the best husband he has helped me so so much with all the night time feedings and he is the best dad ever he is so protective and so loving. It is the sweetest thing to watch a new father with the baby. I love you babe!
